'How I Paint' Series: Devoted of Sigmar, War Altar of Sigmar

Painting Empire: War Altar of Sigmar

So this is my attempt at this fantastic model, had it for about a year primed and ready to paint, watched a few videos on other peoples attempts finishing with Firstly that guy is a genius producing results that i can't get close too, so i decided to go it alone with just the picture above as reference. This is the last model (probably not) to be painted of the Empire Army. I still need to decide whether to rebase it all to rounds or keep them on squares.

I base coated all the parts in Mephiston Red and then washed them with Crimson. I then drybrushed them agin with Red and painted the gold parts with Retributor Gold. This was washed with Fleshshade and then drybrushed with Gold and Necron Compound.

The Metal parts were painted with Leadbelcher and washed with Nuln Oil and Drybrushed with Necron too. The Horse was based with Steel Legion and Washed with Agrax, then highlighted with XV-88.

Again at this point I forgot to take progress pictures. But i followed the artwork at the top using altdorf blue, ushabti bone and washes as extra colours.
