I have never thought of painting this model before, but painting to help my friend has meant I have needed to, and I am so glad I got the chance to. It is a fantastic model, and easier than i thought to achieve good results. Previously Araloth, now known as the Nomad Prince.
I started by priming the model with Chaos Black, then Grey from 45º angle and finally white from 90º angle.
I then started glazing the cloak using a mix of Genestealer Purple and Glaze Medium, this took 5 coats to get the effect I was after.
I also glazed the shield using Temple Guard Blue and Bird with Altdorf Blue using same technique.
(After glazing coats are finished)
Ok, so I missed a lot of steps picture wise, but the colours I used were all GW paints
Flesh - Cadian Fleshtone, Reikland Fleshshade, Kislev Flesh (edge highlights)
Armour - Retirbutor Armour, Reikland Fleshshade, Stormhost Silver (edge highlights)
Clothing - Loren Forest, Camoshade, Ogryn Camo (edge highlight)
Loin Cloth - Caliban Green, Leadbelcher, Camoshade wash, Stormhost Silver (edge highlight)
Horns and Boots - Rhinox Hide (Glaze to blend into Gold Armour)
I added some blending and edge highlights to the birds wings using Temple Guard Blue
For the Gems, I painted them all Stormhost Silver, then Spiritstone Red (New GW Technical paint)
The Glaive stick and arm bands are Dryad Bark. The Hair is washed with Seraphim Sepia
The basing is to be done by my friend, when he has the whole army back, he will do this all in one go. But this is done, quite a simple scheme that looks great on the table top. Hope this helped!
